ASLI BARAN’s STORY
Greetings! I’m a mother of two, born in 1980, with a rich background spanning over two decades in the fields of psychology and education. My academic journey began in Turkey, where I completed both my undergraduate and master’s programs. Later, my quest for knowledge took me to Canada, where I embarked on a transformative educational path.
At Humber College, I kick-started my Canadian experience with the Child and Youth Care Program and I graduated. Subsequently, I successfully graduated from the Addiction and Mental Health Program at Confederation College. My dedication to advancing my expertise led me to obtain a Master of Arts in Psychology from Yorkville University.
As a registered psychotherapist in Canada since January 2023, I’ve been providing steadfast support for a wide spectrum of mental health challenges. My approach incorporates various psychological methodologies, including but not limited to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). My passion lies in emphasizing individuals’ strengths and fostering a holistic approach to healing.
My experience extends to working closely with individuals dealing with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and offering guidance to their families. Currently, I’m dedicated to my work utilizing the transformative neurofeedback technique.
I approach mental health with a delicate and supportive touch, striving to empower individuals on their journey to a healthier and happier life. If you or your loved ones are seeking guidance and support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
